Do you need someone local in Rio de Janeiro to help you with your project? Translating your sound bites, helping you with interviewing people in different languages, accompanying you in the city and giving you everyday practical tips on the location while you´re travelling, shooting, filming or organising your lighting or camera equipment hire with the local rental companies? Someone who knows the city well and can speak fluent Portuguese, English, French and German and can assist you with interpreting interviews, meetings, or simply accompany you in this wonderful – yet at times challenging city? If I can help you with any of these tasks, I’d be very happy to assist you!
During the time I lived in London, Switzerland and Rio, I have worked several times as a translator/interpreter, accompanying professionals on specific projects or meetings. My last job as a “fixer” involved helping with all organisational aspects involved around the launch event of the Adidas official FIFA World Cup football in Rio de Janeiro. I also interviewed the football players Seedorf, Cafu, Hernane and the synchronised swimmers Bia & Branca and translated some of the sound bites back into English and French.
Other translation projects included accompanying the Senegalese delegation during LAAD in Rio (Latin America’s largest defense conference) and accompanying the American Head of HR and Operations of a large aeronautical company during their visit to their Brazilian subsidiary in Rio.
